CSLSC is committed to: 

  • Appoint patrols and render all posssible 
aid to those in distress.
  • Prevent the loss of life from drowning 
by providing efficient life saving apparatus.
  • Study and practice the surf life saving methods taught by Surf Life Saving Australia.

Our members and supporters

Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club is one of over 280 surf clubs, and its members are among the 80,000 surf lifesavers around Australia who volunteer their time to keep our beaches safe. An average of 10,000 rescues are performed each year by surf lifesavers, who are trained to use rescue tubes, rescue boards, radios, Inflatable Rescue Boats (IRB’s) oxygen equipment and provide basic life support. Coolangatta Surf Life Saving Club is a community organisation run by volunteers who are dedicated to protecting members of the public who surf and swim at the beach. Located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia and established in 1959, the club continues to serve the community and keep Coolangatta Beach safe for swimmers. Surf patrols are conducted on weekends and public holidays during the surfing season from September to April each year.

CSLSC Committee

2024/2025

Coolangatta SLSC is a non-profit volunteer organisation, run by its members for its members and the local community. The Management Committee is voted in at the club Annual General Meeting. The Club has other office bearers & sub committees that report through to the Management Committee. The Board meets at least once a month.
